New Portfolio Design
April 7, 2010
I’ve been wanting to update my portfolio website with a new design. With the new update, I’ll be able to bring in new content every week. The problem with the current design is that viewers have to click into 3 different pages, just to view one of my projects. Not only that, but for an employer to view my portfolio, they would have to click through 3 more pages just to download a copy of my resume. I find that it’s a hassle and the functionality of my website becomes a fail. Moreover, just to update my site is a nightmare. Don’t let the simple layout fool you. Although aesthetically, I still find that the overall look and feel is pleasing.
Right now, the new portfolio website I’m currently working on fixes all the problems listed, while updating the look and feel:
1) It fixes the problem of clicking through the site just to view my projects by grouping a category into one slideshow. 2) You may download/view my resume from the main page.
3) Updating the website is much more simple.
4) The rest of the info I’ll let you find out.
I’m pretty satisfied on the overall progress at the moment. I’m trying to implement some JQ coding to give the design more “pow”.
